This is a detail of a General Highway Map of Talbot County by the Maryland State Roads Commission with revisions to 1953. It shows how the original two lane Rt. 50 bypassed Trappe and Easton. Rt. 50 incorporated the 1935 Rt. 213 road from the Choptank bridge to south Main St. Trappe, the 1940 Rt. 213 Trappe bypass up to Peachblossom Creek and the 1948 Rt. 50 Easton bypass. Rt. 50 became a dual highway in Talbot County in 1962. |
